Its entirely up to you whether you want to stay overnight in Giethoorn. Day trips to Giethoorn are definitely possible and probably the most popular way to visit Giethoorn.

You can get to Giethoorn by car, train, bus, or tour group from anywhere in the Netherlands within a few hours, however, most round trips will take several hours of travel.

If you’re visiting the Netherlands and on a tight schedule, rest assured that you can get a great Giethoorn experience even if you don’t stay overnight.

However, if you have some time to spare and want a few days to relax amidst the tranquil nature of the Dutch countryside, why not book one of the Giethoorn hotels, vacation rentals, or B&Bs and enjoy a few days sailing on lakes, dining by canals, or biking through lush fields?

What are things to do in Giethoorn if I stay there for a few days?
